I thought it was utterly fantastic. The characters were so well developed and, once i got used to the pace (it’s shocking to see shots held that long these days) the story took hold of me completely. I’m not gay myself, so that element of the film didn’t sway me at all. I’m an editor by trade but I found myself loving the film and forgetting to critique it in the way i do with many films.

Does anyone know where i can buy the DVD – can’t seem to find it anywhere!

We would have preferred though that if they went with that look and non-Romulan behavior, that they would have called them something different.

I know JJ feels as though he can take the franchise wherever he wants. We do think though that if you take on the responsibility of calling someone Romulan, that they should act a little like it.

Obviously, newcomers to the franchise would not know or care. And JJ did expand the franchise to include many of those. So the the franchise is reinvigorated, but at a price.
